I here by interrupt your original programming for pointless reality.  
01. So far today I've spent forty-five minutes wondering around uptown because of bad directions, had a drug test, met with Student Financial Services, picked up necessities at CVS, returned my library books, grabbed lunch from Panera, and dropped off a paper in the English department. I did all of it in the rain without an umbrella or hood and am now miserable. It's only noon and I want this day to be over. Thank God my first class was canceled, now if only the next three would be too.

02. ( Blah. Blah. Blah. Fuck My Life: The Past Month Condensed in a Single Paragraph )

03. I have so much homework to do right now that I really should be doing something other than updating my LJ, yet here I am. Yay for responsibility!

04. Who else is pissy about Kings? Because it's been a week and I still wanna cut a bitch.

05. The first picture from The Good Guy was finally released by Entertainment Weekly and I's so excited! Scott Porter! Alexis Bledel! Bryan Greenberg! In a love triangle! It's almost enough to make a girl not hate life.

ETA: Umm. You guys should rec me things. Like whatever. Fic, pic!spams, icons, sites, articles, I don't care. Show me shiny things that will make the next ten hours more bearable. Pretty please?

I'M DYING. TRUE STORY. Only not really.  
01. This week has been one of those weeks where I'm so overwhelmed and dissatsified that I feel like I'm letting everyone down, including myself. I hate my classes and have no interest in any of the subject material... which is a problem because 4 of the 5 are directly related to my major. As a result, it's making me rethink my whole plan. Not only can I not afford to do that, but every time I do I think of how close May 16th really is. Moving day just keeps getting closer and closer and I have no idea what state I'm going to be in, much less what I'll be doing. I hate money. I hate the financial aid system. I hate that everything in my life is such a high wire act. It's ridiculous and I'm sick on top of it so the fact that I cannot breathe IS NOT HELPING. *huffs*

02. Moving on... Bacolicio is the most pointless and/or amusing thing to happen to me all week... except when Erin used me as a human jungle gym yesterday. (She's decided that when she can't come up with a comeback to my sarcastic comments, she's just going to hurl her 90 pound body at me and start climbing... which is surprisingly efficient.)

03. Our dishwasher takes like an hour and a half to do one load. Which is annoying because my roommates are slobs who never do the dishes. I'll go to make something but the skillet/pot/whatever will be disgusting so I'll have to unload the clean dishes, reload the dishwasher, and wait for it to wash before I can make dinner. THIS IS WHY I SNACK ON CRAP INSTEAD OF EATING REAL FOOD. Only seventy-eight days until I'm out of here... which is also incredibly sad because, well, I don't know if I'll be able to come back (see number one).

04. I need fan fiction recommendations. Real bad. Please? I'm not so much in a slashy mood but anything else is fine by me. You guys know my fandoms and I love the random.

05. I know this entry is like blah blah mope and moan but my sick brain really does not have anything else to say. *sighs* So go read epic fic instead. And random fic.

ETA: I forgot huge life-altering news. I think I'm delirious. Anyway! MY MOTHER AND TOE ARE GETTING MARRIED! She went to see him in Madison this weekend, he proposed (again) and she (finally) accepted!! They're getting married on the beach on New Years Eve. My grandparents have a condo there and it's going to be super low key, with just six people total.

ETA2: And my mom just called. She got a job in Madison! Which... is great, just a little sad. She's moving in with Toe (and the Burmese family he's staying with) at the end of the month because they can live there free. Hopefully our house will sell by the end of the year and they can get an apartment at some point.

ramble ramble ramble  
01. First off, I want to welcome my new friends to my journal! Thanks to an FNL friending meme and my own Gossip Girl meme, I've met tons of new friends. I stared to list them all out here but whoa there was way too many. So HELLO to all twenty of you.

02. ( A brief description of why my not-so-brief Monday was full of shittiness. )

03. ( The rest of the week. )

04. Fandom-wise, the capstone to my shitty Monday was checking my email to find that I didn't get the Draco/Hermione fanlisting. GREAT ENDING TO THE DAY, LIFE. I know I haven't squeed about them in forever but they have always been an OTP of mine and, more importantly, they were my first ever unconventional ship. I'm just really sad because I've waited years for a chance at that fl :(

05. I'm working on a new challenge community, because I really enjoy running [info]choco_cherries, so if you're at all into any aspect of fan fiction, could you please go fill out this little poll?

06. MY ROOMMATES CLEANED THE APARTMENT. Apparently there is a kitchen sink under all those dishes (WHO KNEW?!) and our bathroom countertops are apparently white (MIND = BLOWN). In all seriousness though, everybody should duck for cover because this means the apocalypse will surely be here any minute. is completely serious*

07. I HAVE THE BEST BFF EVER. A couple months ago Blair asked me if I liked fan fiction, completely out of the blue. I was all *blinks* "uh...." for a second before I finally spit out "yeah... why?" He was super cyptic so all I could get out of him was that it had something to do with my Christmas present. I had like two months to think about it but I was still shocked when I opened the gift bag to find three books. He bought me Every Nine Seconds, Never Tear Us Apart, and Always Have, Always Will!!! There prequels to the series and they're full of awesome, not at all like those crappy 'novel adaptions.' They fit with canon perfectly but it answers so many questions I had about little mentions made throughout the show. I'm kind of in love with them.

08. Would anyone who has it be willing to upload 'All I Need' by Radiohead for me? Pleeeease? I'd really appreciate it x a lot.

09. Speaking of music, I uploaded two Modest Mouse albums as part of Ginger's ([info]ginger_noodle) Christmas present and they're up for download here if anyone else is interested in them.

10. Last but not least, if you haven't pimped or participated in the Find a Shipping Friend Meme for Gossip Girl, please do so! It's still going strong but I'd love to see more people join in. Unlike all the other memes I've done, there haven't been as many participants but waaaay more actual friending.

I still haven't done the friends cut. Or the other 73,910 things I was suppose to do this week. Damn  
01. The weather is getting ridiculous. It is currently -15 degrees without the wind chill. There is like two feet of snow on my front yard, which makes it impossible to walk to and from the car no matter where we park it. I MISS CHICAGO. Where buildings shovel their sidewalks and salt all the roads. Which is fine because I'm going back tomorrow. Woot. Woot. Unfortunately, I have to spend most of the weekend doing internship stuff I really don't want to do. Not so much with the woot woot.

02. I'm watching a House rerun and Cuddy and Detective Dude are eating at Booth and Brennan's diner. So cool! THE DINER DEFIES THE RULES OF TIME AND SPACE AND CAN EXSIST IN TWO PLACES AT ONCE.

03. HEE DAVID ANDERS. I don't care if it's just one episode, it makes for Happy Hider time.

04. I got all my textbooks for this semester for less than a hundred dollars! Thank you, Abe Books. I needed eight books (three of which are the three I kept from last semester *score!*) and I got the other five way discounted from the site above. Speaking of, if any of you are college students in need of textbooks, check there first. I've saved so much money buying through that site, like $200 between just this semester and the last one.

05. Someone needs to teach fanfic writers that flannel is different from plaid. Flannel is a warm fabric. Plaid is a pattern. A lot of plaid shirts are made out of flannel but not all of them are. Tim Riggins always wears plaid not flannel. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm pretty sure he knows that he lives in Texas, where it is too warm to wear flannel 24/7. IT'S PLAID, DAMN IT. Not flannel. *huffs* I feel like Marshall Eriksen ranting about affect and effect but it's bugging the shit out of me.

no subject.  
01. I've written ten pages about Wonder Woman - the creator of which is a really fascinating person fyi - and though the topic was way more interesting than I thought it was going to be, I'm a little bored. TOO. MUCH. HOMEWORK. I have to do this big design project by Tuesday afternoon and it's kind of eating my brain and every once of creativity I have. Ugh. Hate finals week. Is it Thursday at one yet?

02. I caved and renewed my paid account. *sigh* I really shouldn't have, I know. I don't have the money to waste. There are more important things that I need to buy/pay for. Blah blah blah. I'm getting really sick of being responsible. Plus, I literally haven't spend a dime since I came back after Thanksgiving. My bank account has not changed in almost two weeks. I've had an LJ account for five years, twenty dollars every twelve months is a small price to pay for a bit of sanity. (I hate that I still feel a little guilty.) Speaking of being broke... ( I can't afford my apartment anymore. )So basically what I need is for all of you guys to cross your fingers, toes, and every appendage you got. Pray for my family if you're into that sort of thing, or just send good vibes our way. We really need for my petition to get approved.

03. I want. Real bad. I also need. Aimee and Jesse on the same cover?! I bet there's cute stuff inside too. Anyone found scans anywhere? Or live in Austin and want to scope it out for me? *bats eyelashes* Yeah, I didn't think so. *pouts* I being broke.
