( 01-02. First things first, Christmas went okay this year. )
03. I was already looking forward to X-Men Origins: Wolverine but after seeing the trailer during Valkyrie, I kind of can't wait. I like Taylor Kitsch but it's no secret that he's not my favorite guy on FNL so I was more or less eh whatever when he got cast. Actually seeing him in the role though has got me totally psyched. Plus, there's Ryan Reynolds! May 1st? Too fucking far away.
04. Don't you hate when you having nothing to do but as soon as you find something mediocre to do (pick up an extra shift at work, agree to babysit, etc), there's tons of stuff you're missing out on?! IT ALWAYS HAPPENS TO ME. There was nothing going on in Indiana this week so I decided to come back to Chicago for a couple days since I have a free train ticket that expires this week. As soon as I make plans to go and to hang out with Blair on New Years Eve, my group of friends from high school decide to go ice-skating yesterday. Then one of them decides she's having a party tonight. Then my cousin calls and asks if I want to make extra money babysitting tomorrow. I'm already in the city. *head to desk* Fuck my luck but oh well, I'm going to have fun with Blair anyway.
05. I love that half of my flist is currently applying to schools in Chicago. Okay, maybe not half, but at least five or six of you are, and it makes me happy. Columbia and UIC are going to be bombarded with cool people next year and I, for one, am very excited to have you all joining me in the windy city. Score! Let's take a moment to cross our fingers and pray to the acceptance/visa gods for everybody. *does so*
06. Michael Cassidy leaving Privileged? SO NOT COOL. He's the whole reason I watch. Okay, maybe not the whole reason, the show is great, but Megan and Charlie's relationship is the reason I tune in. (Let's overlook the fact that I'm behind a couple episodes.) Hider is not happy. That 'big smooch' better be the two of them and that door better be WIDE FUCKING OPEN.
07. When describing myself, indecisive would not be a word I would normally choose but it describes me perfectly this week. From big things to little things, I'm having so much trouble making up my mind and I'm never like that. I DON'T LIKE IT, DAMN IT. I was even going to make presents for the birthday girls below but TOO MANY OPTIONS. So you three: Let me know what you want and I'll make you some icons or a layout or a fanmix or I DUNNO, whatever you want.

01. I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween last night! I myself didn't do anything special. I'm not really into the party scene, which is what my roommates and most of my local friends ended up doing, and I never got around to coming up with a costume anyway, so I me and Blaire are just chilled at his place. He wanted to watch Hocus Pocus but we couldn't find it anywhere, and he refused to watch Halloweentown with me, so we watched Nightmare Before Christmas (which I had never seen) and Mean Girls (hey, it has a Halloween scene in it!).
02. I reinstated my Netflix recently even though I'm broke because I figured a monthly subscription will cost less than me going out because I got bored. First up was Circadian Rhythm and all I have to say is, poor David Anders. He deserves so much better than that piece of crap. It was going for psychological thriller and just ended up being stupid and confusing. Plus, I'm pretty sure that was the lowest production value I have ever seen... and I'm in art school. On the other hand, Prom Night was a lot better. I wasn't expecting much and it was far from amazing but it was really enjoyable and I love me some Scott Porter. I expected him to be killed off first but was happily surprised when that wasn't the case. Brittany did a really good job in it as well and Jessica Stroup didn't look anorexic at all so there's that too.

05. I finished that project I was talking about earlier, the one for my Digital Image Design class that I was using V for Vendetta for. The final piece is here. It's my first real attempt at using vectors and only one part was done doing live trace, the rest I had to do with the pen tool, so let me know what you think.
ETA: I've started posting the prompt response ficlets in the comments on this post. I'm still looking for more prompts though so do so if you wanna help a girl out ;)

01. I'm home, or at least back in the dorm. My train ride on Thursday went way better than the last time (where everything that could have ever went wrong did) and I got in early enough to eat dinner with my mom and grandparents. It was a nice change of pace to live somewhere clean for a bit and I even got to walk around barefoot! I was also forced given the privilege of teaching my two little cousins how to roller-skate since one of them had their birthday party at the rink. Their Dad was never going to be caught dead in skates and their mom/step-mom is pregnant so I was elected for the job even though it's been years since I've strapped on skates. Amazingly enough, I didn't fall down once, despite the fact that they were both holding my hands and tugging my arm out of socket every time they did fall. It was fun though and definitely entertaining to say the least.
Me and mom watched a bunch of movies this weekend, as is our tradition. She caught up on the first four episodes of Ugly Betty: Season Two and it was funny because I had totally forgotten about half of those plot lines (but Gio!!). I finally got her to watch V for Vendetta since I'm doing an art project on it. She liked it even though she was a bit confused (like I knew she'd be) but I helped her a bit and I think she got the gist by the end. Made of Honor was cute even though it was pretty formulaic, but I knew that going in and still enjoyed it. Smart People was fine and the actors gave good performances but it's not something I'm going to watch again.
02. I have horrible self control. I really, really do. It's something that needs to be worked on immediately but, then again, so is my procrastination so neither will probably ever get done. I applied for a wishlister fl the other day and just talking about it made me want to pull out my DVDs and have a marathon (when I should be studying). Or, worse yet, I really want to finish the fansite that I started forever ago (and have an assload of content for) but that I don't need to run. If I get the fanlisting, I totally am though. SEE! Horrible self control. Somebody smack me, already.
03. I had to go get a tetanus shot so that I could register for the spring semester on Monday and it didn't hurt at the time but now my arm is so sore. Apparently they give it directly into the muscle and that's why it now hurts to lift my upper arm at all. Owwie.

07. I hate midterm week. It kind of interferes with my TV-watching and fanlisting revamping.
08. I'm still looking for a program that will screen cap and one that will make video clips on a Mac. Any suggestions? Cookies and/or any other goods/services can be negotiated for exchange of information.
09. We need more votes (and feedback!) on the stories that were written for the Chocolate Cherries Fic Exchange. So go do that. And then pimp it out to your flists/friends. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee.
10. Random Fic Rec: Puzzles is a brilliant Buffy/Firefly ficlet. You should all read it because I love how the BtVS universe has progressed in it.
